Bude Residential May 2016
Monday - Mountain Boarding and Canoeing
We all arrived fine on Sunday afternoon and after settling in, meeting their tutors and having dinner, it was great to see the whole school up on stage at the welcome disco.
Fair to say we didn't have a great deal of sleep, however everyone was up bright and early (!) for the morning run.
Great fun was had by everyone on our activities: Mountain Boarding and Canoeing. Take a look at some of the photos below. The sun is still shining too!
Tuesday - Climbing and High RopesFirst things first - a better sleep last night was had by all. The drizzly start didn't dampen our spirits, as we went on our morning run. Today we have climbing and high ropes. They will need all their perseverance and courage to tackle these challenges. Come back later for some photos of the action.
Update at 4:40pm...what a fantastic day. Everyone should be so proud! What courage we saw today on the climbing and high ropes sessions. Well done everyone. Lots of photos to share.
Wednesday - Kayaking and SurfingLast night was Fancy Dress night. Take a look at the photos below to see some of the outfits.
This morning was drizzly again but it didn't dampen the enthusiastic morning run. Before our first activity the whole of Adventure International sang to Yunus to wish him a happy birthday. This evening we will be sharing some tasty treats to celebrate.
After a damp start, slowly but surely the sun made an appearance for a fun-filled day of kayaking and surfing.
Tonight is Five-a-Side Football and Talet Show. We're all looking forward to another excellent evening of entertainment. Tomorrow we celebrate another birthday - Emily's.
Thursday - Caving and Abseiling or Mountain BikingHappy Birthday Emily!
Last night one of our football teams came second in the tournament - well done! Congratulations to the girls' dance group who came third in the talent show.
The children are all quite tired now but are pushing through for our last full day at Adventure International. Following our last morning run of the week, the children are setting off for either caving, abseiling or mountain biking for the day. Come back later for some photos of the action.
Tonight is also presentation night where the superstar, joker and bottle awards are announced.
Friday - Team Trail and Body BoardingWell here we are on our last day at Adventure International. As you would have seen from the photos uploaded yesterday, it was a fantastic day of events ending with presentation night - did you spot all the funky dance moves?
Even though the children are tired, they have had a brilliant week and represented themselves and the school so well. They have overcome fears and pushed themselves to the max. We are all very proud of them. They have also kept their rooms extremely tidy with the addition of hoovering! There can't be any excuses at home now.
Almost everything is packed up ready to come home. But before that they have Team Trail and Body Boarding to look forward to.
We anticipate being back to Fowey between 3:00pm and 3:30pm but will update this ETA if we are able to (apologies if we are unable to).
